WHERE IN THE WORLD IS THE
SOUTH CARIBOO?



The South Cariboo is a sub-region of the Cariboo Regional District in the Interior of British Columbia, Canada. Its main population centre is the District Municipality of 100 Mile House, a community of approximately 2,000 residents. 13,000 people live in the surrounding 3 electoral areas of the South Cariboo. There are many "summer residents" who move in to their seasonal properties located throughout the area during the warm weather.

100 Mile House is located approximately 450 km north of Vancouver, BC on Highway 97.

South Cariboo Communities



The South Cariboo boundaries are roughly described as 70 Mile House in the South to Lac La Hache in the North, and the Fraser River to the West to Lac des Roches and Mahood Lake to the East. The region includes 100 Mile House and many smaller communities such as Forest Grove, Buffalo Creek, Lac La Hache, 108 Mile Ranch, Lone Butte, Sheridan Lake, Bridge Lake, and Watch Lake/Green Lake.   Click on map for more details
